The mighty saga of the world's mightiest man! Hercules.
In this melange of characters and events from separate mythological stories, Hercules, demigod and superman, arrives in the ancient Greek kingdom of Iolcus to tutor Iphitus, son of king Pelias; immediately on arrival, he falls in love with the king's delectable, briefly clad daughter Iole. Before he can win her, he must succeed in a series of quests, in the course of which he teams up with Jason, true heir of Iolcus, whom he accompanies on the famous voyage of the Argonauts.
Alright, here we have a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very weak episode. It's quite bland, but I will admit that some of the riffs had me laughing pretty hard. Just not enough to secure this as a very good episode. Why they chose to throw this one Hercules movie into season five(5) instead of leaving it back in the early season four(4) set of Herc movies, I'll never know. It really isn't up to the calliber of the other episodes in season five(5)... any of them.
One bit that I personally love is Crow's one-man rendition of The Match Game. I know some people don't like this segment, but I used to watch so much Match Game that I can't NOT love it.
Other small bits of mention is Mary Jo Pehl and Bridget Jones/Nelson as the Amazons... It's always nice to see some of the ladies on the show.
Favourite line: "I'd rather not talk about it. Shut up."
