0514: Teen-Age Strangler

MST3k, Experiment #0514

Is This Love? A girl goes against the old-fashioned love of her parents (and very old looking roommate), abandons her parents, and runs away with a new hookup. The short ends asking whether their love will last long or not (It won't)

A embrace...then defilement and death! Teen-Age Strangler.

A troubled teen with an undeserved criminal past is the suspect when young women start turning up around town dead and marked up with lipstick.

Yipe Stripes! Good god, that song has been stuck in my head ever since I watched this last night. In fact, I was even humming the slow, haunting version of it as I went to the fridge last night for some juice. It's a horrid song too... the slow version isn't quite so bad, unless you happen to hear it... Yipe Stripes.

Well, I love how they continue the "Mike being new" trend going, even to the extent that he really doesn't quite understand that the bots are play-acting when they have their "rival gang" fight. It's quite charming.

Here we also get Mike's first song as host. "I'm A Janitor" is a fabulous little song about being a janitor... for some reason, I can very easily picture Frank singing this one too... maybe that's just because of the chauffer song. I dunno. Anyways, it's a fun little sad number, and it definitely shows Mike's many talents.

Favourite line: "I said let's go outside so I can strangle you!"
