Last Stop On The Road To Nowhere! Girls Town.
Chip is killed accidentally while trying to rape a blonde girl, who runs. Silver becomes the number one suspect even though she has an alibi, but due to previous brushes with the law she's sent to Girls Town, a home for young women in trouble with the law which is run by nuns. Silver is rebellious and causes trouble at the school, and her friend Sarafina totters near the brink of self-destruction because of an infatuation with a young singer. Meanwhile Chip's father hires a detective to find out the truth, and Chip's friend Fred gets Silver's sister in trouble at a drag race. Silver has a lot of problems all right.
Another episode where the movie very clearly overshadows the host segments. I'll start by just stating that the segments are decent but nothing to get all worked up over. The big thing here though is the Umbilicus. I know a lot of people weren't too fond of the Umbilicus, but it never really bothered me. I wasn't a "fan" of it, per se, but I wasn't opposed to it by any means.
Okay, so the movie... Whoever cast Mel Torme as a "tough guy" was an idiot. It doesn't work, sorry. That being said, this movie provided some of the funniest riffing and is a great way to start season six(6).
I do think they actually went a bit overboard on the jokes about the size of the star's ass, but oh well... it made me pay more attention to it, and anything that makes me pay attention to a pretty girl's ass is fine by me!
I really can't think of a lot that stands out about this episode, which may be why I didn't really remember it right away when it fell next on my list... I did really enjoy it though, and laughed a lot during the whole thing, even the mediocre host segments. I think I'll be watching this one more often, really. It's great!
Favourite line: "Hey. I'm already here."
