She's all out for kicks... and every inch of her spells excitement! Kitten With A Whip.
Jody, a juvenile delinquent, escapes from reform school by stabbing a matron and attempting to burn down the building and then takes refuge in a house owned by an ambitious politician David Patton. Despite the hellcat's ample charms, the would-be officeholder wants nothing to do with her and tries to drive her away. She responds by shortly returning to his house accompanied by a gang of delinquent pals and taking him hostage. A sudden act of violence causes more trouble, leading Jody and her gang to hijack David and force him to drive a getaway car to Mexico.
This is another of my favourites... Through the whole run of the series, I tend to have "pairs" of favourites... episodes that may or may not go together hardly at all, but appear beside each other... episodes that are both hysterically funny and I can't think of one without the other. Kitten With A Whip is definitely one of these, followed tomorrow by Racket Girls. I think of one, I think of the other... and then I laugh for an hour or so before watching either of them.
We have a great episode here. The riffing is fantastic and through the entire movie, which is actually a pretty decent movie. Of course, the relatively interesting plot and sort of good acting is massively over-shadowed by the general stupidity of the characters, specifically the lead male in this one. In all, this movie isn't that bad... and they do a GREAT job joking along with it.
The two highlights for me in the episode are Kevin Murphy dressed as the titular "kitten with a whip" and Mike's hazing segment. Both are rather unsettling when thinking of the specific actors in their costumes... especially considering how comfortable they both seem to be.
Wonderful and hillarious episode! I leant a copy to my co-worker today, because I simply wanted him to see one of the funniest episodes of the show... I'm hoping for an official release of this one also someday.
Favourite line: "She looks like a Dodge Neon."
