Sink your teeth into pure terror. Devil Fish.
Several boats are torn apart, badly wrecked corpses are washed ashore... something horrible is out in the Caribbean sea. The teeth marks on the bodies don't lead to any known animal, so scientist Dr. Stella Dickens suspects it's a so far unknown life form and strives to catch it alive. She doesn't know yet that ruthless scientists have genetically created this creature as a bioweapon, or that it has been designed to reproduce by asexual means. And that the company she works for created the creature and will stop at nothing to keep their secret.
This is one of those episodes that I have seen far too many times to really want to watch again... Thankfully, the DVD release just happened, so that sort of gave me a reason to re-watch it. My bootleg was good quality, but this one's "official."
Anyways, this really is a fun episode. I just have it practically memorized, so I only half payed attention. I really like the opening bit with Mike's wallet, and the rest of the segments are fun but not the greatest. I've always laughed at how dated this movie is. Even some of the old black and white films didn't feel so out-of-date as this film. It's fun though... The riffing is strong and funny and keeps your attention (unless you've seen it a trillion times over and have a book to read).
In all, I'm glad this one got an official release. Keep 'em coming, I say.
Favourite line: "Yes, here at WOI, we do this kind of thing..."
